‘IN LOVING MEMORY’

PARTNER PROJECT SPRING 2024

The Victorian Era marked the surge of a distinguished style of dress made specifically to symbolize those in mourning. It was said that after the love of her life, Prince Albert died, Queen Victoria spent the rest of her life in mourning; adorning black mourning wear until the day she died.
For our collection we wanted to emulate Victorian mourning clothing mixed with our archetype of skiwear. Skiwear, birthed in the 1940s, and showcased the luxury in lounging. The chic, chalet fashion was introduced to the public not for the purpose of sport, but for the high society dress of the elite.
Combining these elements between mourning and  skiwear, this collection aims to marry knitwear, nylons, and hardware from skiwear into those of victorian laces, pleating, and silhouettes. Each  of  the  five looks encapsulates a fusion of delicacy and sportiness.
